<![CDATA[Adolescents are an age group which they are vulnerable to mental health issues, one of them is depression. One of the factor believed to be associated with depression is sleep quality. In addition, gadget usage is often linked to sleep disturbances and the psychological well-being of adolescents. Objectives : This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and depression levels among adolescents aged 15-18 years old. This study uses quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. This study involves 190 participant through total sampling whom all et the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study uses Patient Health Questionnaire-9 and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index as the measurement tools. Results : The results of the research showed there was a significant, weak positive correlation between sleep quality and depression levels using Spearman’s correlation test (r= 0,274 p= 0,000), which was also significant using the Chi-Square test (c2= 10,128 p= 0,038) and which was also significant using linear regression test (b= 0,657 p= 0,000). Regression test that the data are taken simultaneously with other variables, such as gadget usage, was showing significant result (b= 0,545 p= 0,000). That can conclude that sleep quality and device usage patterns, especially before bedtime, play a role in the risk of depression among adolescents. Therefore, it is important for adolescents to maintain a good sleep quality to support their mental health.]]>
