This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance, with work engagement serving as a mediating variable, at the Ministry of Religious Affairs office in Banyumas Regency. The study employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The research population consists of 120 employees, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS 3. The results indicate that transformational leadership and work engagement have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs office in Banyumas Regency. The findings also demonstrate that work engagement mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance at the office. These results suggest that the effective implementation of transformational leadership can enhance employee work engagement, thereby leading to improved performance.
