<![CDATA[Pedestrian facilities are essential for ensuring safe, accessible, and sustainable urban mobility. However, sidewalks along Jalan H. Rais A. Rahman in Pontianak City have not functioned optimally due to physical deterioration, temporary obstructions, and inadequate supporting facilities. This study aimed to evaluate the existing condition of sidewalk facilities and analyze pedestrian satisfaction with their performance. A field survey was conducted using two complementary approaches. The existing sidewalk condition was assessed using the Guttman Scale based on the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 03/PRT/M/2014 and the Technical Guidelines for Pedestrian Facilities (No. 07/P/BM/2023), while pedestrian satisfaction was measured using a five-point Likert Scale. The results indicate that the sidewalks generally meet the technical requirements for safety and aesthetic quality but show deficiencies in comfort, accessibility, connectivity, and supporting facilities. Pedestrians expressed the highest level of satisfaction with safety, whereas supporting facilities received the lowest ratings. The study concludes that future sidewalk improvements should prioritize enhancing comfort, accessibility, and connectivity, and supporting facilities to promote safer, more comfortable, and more inclusive pedestrian infrastructure in Pontianak City.]]>
