This study aims to analyze the impact of local wisdom-based pop-up book learning media on improving the cultural literacy of third-grade students at SDN 169 Purba Julu. A quasi-experimental research method was employed, utilizing a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study involved 40 students divided into an experimental group (20 students) and a control group (20 students). Data were collected through cultural literacy tests (pre-test and post-test) and observation sheets. The results indicate that the average post-test score of the experimental group (85.50) was higher than that of the control group (68.50). The difference in post-test scores between the two groups was analyzed using an Independent Sample t-test, yielding a t-value greater than the t-table value (7.921 > 2.024) with a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). Furthermore, N-Gain analysis showed a score of 0.69 for the experimental group and 0.37 for the control group. These results demonstrate that the improvement in cultural literacy was greater in the experimental group than in the control group. Thus, the use of local wisdom-based pop-up book media has a positive effect on the cultural literacy of third-grade students at SDN 169 Purba Julu. This medium serves as a viable alternative for interactive learning that integrates local wisdom into cultural literacy instruction in primary schools.
