<![CDATA[Abstract Storytelling ability is one of the important aspects of early childhood language development that plays a role in improving communication skills, vocabulary, and children’s confidence in expressing ideas verbally. However, based on observations conducted at TK Budi Rahayu Ketapang Wedung Demak, the storytelling ability of Group B children aged 5–6 years had not developed optimally. This study aimed to improve children’s storytelling ability through the use of serial picture media in learning activities. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 10 children consisting of 6 girls and 4 boys. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis and simple quantitative analysis by calculating the percentage of children’s developmental achievement. The results showed that the use of serial picture media was able to improve children’s storytelling ability satisfactorily. In the pre-cycle stage, most children were in the “beginning to develop” category (70%), which then increased in Cycle I with the emergence of the “developing very well” category reaching 10%. In Cycle II, the improvement became more satisfactory, with 80% of children achieving the “developing very well” category. These findings indicate that serial picture media can be an effective learning strategy to improve early childhood storytelling skills.
