Abstract

The use of technology-based learning media in early childhood education is still limited; therefore, innovative media are needed to support engaging and effective learning processes. This study aimed to develop a Wordwall-based plugged coding learning media to improve the problem-solving skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK IT Cipta Harapan Palembang. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The participants were 13 children from Group B. The validation results indicated that the media was very feasible to use (80% from content experts, 96% from language experts, and 100% from media experts). The practicality test showed high percentages from teachers (93%) and students (90–94%). The effectiveness test showed an increase in the average problem-solving score from 14.21 (pretest) to 36.73 (posttest) with a significant difference (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The Wordwall-based plugged coding media was proven to be feasible and effective in improving early childhood problem-solving skills.
