This research is motivated by the importance of matching human resource competencies with job requirements to support effective organizational performance. This study aims to analyze the level of human resource competency, evaluate the suitability of employee competencies with job descriptions and job specifications, and identify competency gaps and their development strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews with six informants: two key and four supporting. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the level of human resource competency is generally in the good category, especially in the work attitude dimension. The suitability of competencies to job descriptions and job specifications is considered good, especially in the structural, administrative, and formal qualification aspects. However, competency gaps persist across the dimensions of knowledge, skills, and work attitudes. Competency development efforts have been carried out through training, certification, mentoring, and cross-functional learning. This study concludes that strengthening competency development programs on an ongoing basis is necessary to improve the suitability of competencies with job requirements. These findings have implications for the importance of strategic planning for human resource development, based on competency gaps, to improve organizational performance and productivity.
