The increasing use of smartphones among adolescents may be associated with psychological conditions, including loneliness. Loneliness occurs when an individual’s perceived social relationships do not match their expectations and may be related to excessive smartphone use. This study aimed to determine the relationship between loneliness and among late adolescents in Bekasi. Using a quantitative correlational design, 109 late adolescents aged 18–21 years were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3 and Scale–Short Version (SAS-SV), with 8 valid items for each instrument. Reliability coefficients were 0.784 for loneliness and 0.843 for. As the data were not normally distributed, hypothesis testing used Spearman Rank correlation. The results showed a significant positive relationship between loneliness and (r = 0.544, p < 0.05), indicating that higher loneliness was associated with higher among late adolescents in Bekasi.
