This study examines the effect of work motivation and compensation on employee performance at PT Boka Muara Transco, an EMKL-based logistics service company in Jakarta. The study was motivated by a decline in the company’s order volume during 2023–2025 and indications of suboptimal motivation and compensation. A quantitative approach with a descriptive associative-causal design was used. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and a five-point Likert questionnaire distributed to all 38 employees using a saturated sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination with SPSS. The results show that work motivation has a positive and significant partial effect on employee performance (t = 2.975; p = 0.005), while compensation also has a positive and significant partial effect (t = 3.793; p < 0.001). Simultaneously, work motivation and compensation significantly affect employee performance (F = 27.481; p < 0.001), with an R² of 0.611. Thus, 61.1% of the variation in employee performance is explained by the two independent variables. The findings indicate that performance improvement requires integrated strengthening of motivation and compensation policies.
