Abstract

Objective: This study examines how the Theory of Planned Behavior has been applied in Islamic education, religious behavior formation, and instructional design. Method: This study employed a systematic literature review guided by PRISMA 2020. Records were identified from Google Scholar through Publish or Perish and Scopus. Results: The review found that TPB has been widely used to predict intention and behavior in Islamic and Muslim-related contexts, but its use as an instructional design framework remains limited. Novelty: This study contributes by translating TPB constructs into instructional design principles for behavior-oriented Islamic education.
