Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease whose prevalence continues to rise in Indonesia, from 10.9% (Riskesdas 2018) to 11.7% (SKI 2023). Aerobic exercise is a non-pharmacological intervention that helps control blood glucose by enhancing GLUT-4 translocation and insulin sensitivity. This study aimed to determine the difference in random blood glucose levels before and after aerobic exercise among the community in Kacapiring. This quantitative study used a pre-experimental, One Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving 26 female respondents aged 30–65 years. The 60-minute session included 7 minutes warm-up, 45 minutes core movement, and 8 minutes cool-down. Random blood glucose was measured using Point of Care Testing (POCT) with an Autocheck 3 in 1 Multifunction Monitoring System before and after exercise. The Shapiro-Wilk test confirmed normal data distribution (p>0.05), so a Paired Sample t-test was applied. Results showed mean glucose levels decreased from 122.50 to 112.15 mg/dL (p=0.024). Aerobic exercise significantly reduces random blood glucose and is recommended as a non-pharmacological intervention for glucose control.
