<![CDATA[This study is a systematic literature review (SLR) that examines empirical and theoretical studies on the construction of meaning in communication behaviors among survivors of online gaming addiction. The objectives of this SLR are (1) to map concepts and terminology related to survivors of online gaming addiction and post-addiction communication behavior; (2) to summarize key findings regarding how survivors construct meaning from their experiences; and (3) to identify research gaps as well as theoretical and practical implications. The methodology followed the SLR protocol: searches in electronic databases (e.g., PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar), clear inclusion and exclusion criteria, a two-stage selection process, thematic data extraction, and narrative synthesis. The findings highlight several dominant themes: (a) narratives of self-reconstruction and redemption, (b) shifts in interpersonal communication patterns (isolation, selectivity, reconnection), (c) the use of digital media as an arena for identity reconstruction, (d) life meaning and purpose as protective factors, and (e) the role of formal and informal social support in the recovery process. The discussion situates the findings within the theoretical frameworks of symbolic interactionism, phenomenology, and the theory of basic psychological needs. This SLR concludes with recommendations for future research emphasizing longitudinal studies, a focus on non-Western cultural contexts, and the integration of in-depth qualitative methods.]]>
