Ibn Atiyyah's background as a judge influenced his style of interpretation, especially in the aspect of legal istinbat and the use of fiqh arguments. These conditions make it important to carry out a study of the characteristics of fiqh in its interpretation. This research aims to analyze the style of jurisprudence and methods of interpreting legal verses in the commentary on Al-Muharrar al-Wajiz by Ibn Atiyyah. This research uses a qualitative approach in library research. Data were analyzed using the content analysis method on the interpretation of several legal verses in the Al-Qur'an, namely Surah Al-Baqarah 222, Surah Al-Ma'idah 6, and 38. The results of the research show that the style of jurisprudence in these interpretations is reflected through several aspects, including the grouping of taklifi law, the istinbat process of branch law which originates from the text of the verse text, the explicit presentation of legal conclusions, and the use of various sources of Islamic law as a basis for argumentation. The methode used the tahlili d, by ezplaining the analytical interpretation of verses that combines the tafsir bi al-ma'tsur and tafsir bi al-ra'yi approaches. In the process of determining legal conclusions, Ibn Atiyyah applied the tarjih method by referring to the hadith of the Prophet, the atsar of the his companions, and the practices of the majority of fuqaha. Therefore, The novelty of this research lies in the effort to map the characteristics of fiqh in the tafsir, which shows that Ibn Atiyyah applies an argumentative of legal interpretation.
