<![CDATA[The massive use of electronic means to obtain information in addition to bringing positive impacts on the one hand, on the other hand also has a negative impact without good filtering. This article wants to review the verse about fake news (hoax) which reflects the relationship between humans and other humans (muamalah) represented by the word ′ifk in the Qur'an which is to be seen from the perspective of ma'nā cum maghzā so as to produce new significance so as not to accept raw information from anyone. This paper aims to answer two main problems: what is the urgency of applying the ma'nā cum maghzā approach in Qur'anic interpretation and how to reconstruct the significance of the verse about hoaxes in the Qur'an with the ma'nā cum maghzā approach. This study comes to the conclusion that, first, the ma'nā cum maghzā approach is needed to reconstruct the significance contained in the Qur'an in the current and contemporary context; second, the significance of the verse about hoaxes in the current context is at least four of them: 1) Building a positive mindset; 2) The importance of clarifying; 3) Badness is a consequence of hoaxes; 4) The object of hoax is an individual or collective that has a position; 5) Hoaxes can come from anyone.]]>
