<![CDATA[The rapid development of the fashion industry demands vocational teachers to continuously update their competencies. This community service aimed to improve the competency of Vocational High School (SMK) fashion teachers in East Java in designing urban and modest wear fashion, developing creative concepts, and applying fabric manipulation techniques. The activity was conducted in collaboration with Dua Sisi Fashion Studio, Malang, involving 10 participants from various SMK Tata Busana across East Java. The method used was a training and mentoring approach consisting of preparation, theoretical training, practical workshops, mentoring, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments as well as training evaluation questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in participants' competency, with an overall mean score rising from 2.87 (pre-test) to 4.54 (post-test), an improvement of 58.4%. The greatest improvement was recorded in the fabric manipulation dimension (from 2.78 to 4.53). Training evaluation results also showed a high satisfaction level with a mean score of 4.90 out of 5.00. Participants expressed readiness to apply the training content in school learning through project-based approaches and will share the knowledge with fellow teachers. This program proved effective in enhancing teacher competency and has the potential to improve the quality of fashion vocational education in East Java.]]>
