<![CDATA[Learning Aqidah Akhlak in elementary madrasah is often still teacher-centered, which affects students' activeness and learning outcomes. This condition was found among fourth-grade students of MI Ma'arif Tempuran, Kencong, Jember, where understanding of Kalimat Tayyibah (Subhanallah, Allahu Akbar, Masyaallah) remained below the minimum mastery criterion. This study aimed to describe students' learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, as well as the steps taken by the teacher in applying it. This research used a qualitative Classroom Action Research (CAR) design following Hopkins' spiral model, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection, carried out in two cycles. The subjects were 18 fourth-grade students (10 boys and 8 girls). Data were collected through tests, observation, and interviews, then analyzed descriptively using percentage and mean-score formulas. The results showed that in Cycle I, 11 students (61%) achieved mastery with a class average of 69, which had not yet reached classical completeness. After improving the learning steps, Cycle II showed an increase to 15 students (83%) achieving mastery with a class average of 78, meeting the classical completeness criterion. These findings indicate that the PBL model can improve students' activeness and learning outcomes on the Kalimat Tayyibah material and can be considered as an alternative learning strategy for Aqidah Akhlak in elementary madrasah.]]>
