This study aimed to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning assisted by concrete media on the mathematical problem-solving and mathematical communication skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed. The sample consisted of 60 students divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected using validated and reliable essay tests and analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain, the Independent Samples t-Test, and Multivariate Analysis of Variance. The findings indicated that Problem Based Learning assisted by concrete media significantly improved both mathematical problem-solving and mathematical communication skills simultaneously.
