<![CDATA[This study presents a literature review of presidential linguistic strategies in political discourse, focusing on research developments, theoretical approaches, and research objects in previous studies. The review examines 25 articles published in scientific journals and retrieved from Google Scholar and DOAJ, with the search limited to 2022–2026. Articles were identified using the keywords “political discourse”, “critical discourse”, and “president” for English literature, and “presiden”, “wacana politik”, and “wacana kritis” for Indonesian literature. The findings indicate that research on presidential linguistic strategies is dominated by critical discourse analysis and speeches as research objects, with 10 studies employing critical discourse analysis and 20 examining speeches. Studies using critical discourse analysis primarily explore the relationship between language and ideology, power, social reality, and leadership image. Other approaches include discourse analysis, rhetoric, speech acts, psycholinguistics, systemic functional linguistics, sociolinguistics, semiotics, interjections, euphemisms, and intertextual analysis. This study contributes to the literature by providing a novel synthesis of existing research, identifying dominant patterns, and highlighting directions for future research.]]>
