<![CDATA[Climate change increasingly overwhelms the coping capacity of communities, particularly where formal institutions respond slowly or unevenly. This article examines community resilience to climate change through the lens of social innovation, understood as new configurations of relationships, knowledge, and governance that communities devise to reduce vulnerability and build adaptive capacity. Rather than conducting a systematic literature review, the study applies a narrative conceptual synthesis of twenty-five peer-reviewed studies published between 2021 and 2026, spanning Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Four sensitising concepts guided the analysis: social capital, co-production and participatory governance, indigenous and local knowledge, and equity and justice. Findings show that resilience is not merely a technical outcome but a socially negotiated process shaped by trust networks, brokering institutions, and power relations. The novelty of this article lies in integrating innovation mechanisms with justice-oriented governance across scales, an intersection that remains fragmented in existing literature. The article concludes that community resilience is strengthened when social innovation simultaneously redistributes agency, embeds local knowledge, and links grassroots initiatives to multi-level policy structures.]]>
