The success of an organization is largely determined by its human resources. This study aims to examine the influence of talent management and knowledge management on performance, mediated by work motivation. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected from 51 employees of the Maluku Regional Cultural Preservation Center via a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The analysis in this study was conducted using the Smart-PLS software version 4.0. The findings indicate that talent management and knowledge management were each found to have a significant positive influence on both employee performance and work motivation. Work motivation was found to have a significant positive influence on employee performance. Work motivation was also found to mediate the influence of talent management on employee performance. Meanwhile, the influence of knowledge management on employee performance was not found to be mediated by work motivation. These findings underscore the importance for organizations to manage their employees’ talent and knowledge while continuing to prioritize strategies to enhance work motivation.
