Financial management behavior is a critical factor in the sustainability of MSMEs, yet many business owners are still unable to manage their finances optimally. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial knowledge , financial attitude, and internal locus of control on financial management behavior through financial planning as a mediating variable among MSME entrepreneurs in Muaro Jambi Regency. This study employs a quantitative approach using explanatory research on 100 MSME entrepreneurs selected via purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS with the assistance of SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that financial knowledge , financial attitude, and internal locus of control have a positive and significant influence on financial planning. Financial planning also mediates the influence of these three variables on financial management behavior. The novelty of this study lies in the use of financial planning as a mediating variable among SME entrepreneurs.
