This study aims to explore the rule of God, or theocracy, in the Book of Job. This objective is motivated by the suffering experienced by believers in this postmodern era, which is becoming increasingly complex and diverse. In response to these sufferings, this study will delve into the Book of Job to serve as a reference for believers in responding to suffering in this postmodern era. This study employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach. The findings indicate that theocracy, or God’s governance, is present in the Book of Job and that God’s governance, or theocracy, exhibits a distinct pattern. It is hoped that this study will assist believers in the postmodern era in responding to the ever-changing sufferings by making the Book of Job one of their guiding references.
