This research aims to identify forms of first language phonetic interference occurring in the pronunciation of Arabic phonemes of Arabic phonemes in Quranic studies as well as the underlying Faktors causing this interference. A descriptive-analytical method was employed to collect data through oral tests administered to all 15 participants of the tahsin halaqah at Majelis Ta’lim Meunasah Khairul Ummah, Lambaro Skep, Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh. The findings revealed a total of 53 phonemic pronunciation errors, consisting of 20 (37.73%) errors in makharij al-huruf (points of articulation) and 33 (62.26%) errors in sifat al-huruf (phonetic attributes). Errors in makharij primarily involved substituting a phoneme with a phonetically similar one. Meanwhile, errors in sifat al-huruf occurred in: (1) qalqalah, where participants added echoing sounds to non-qalqalah letters; (2) tafkhim and tarqiq, involving inappropriate velarization or softening, such as softening isti’la letters and the letter ra (ر) with fathah, dammah, or sukun, while incorrectly velarizing istifal phonemes (أ, ج, ك) and ra with kasrah; and (3) hams and bainiyah, characterized by releasing airflow on the voiced (jahr) phoneme jim (ج) and pronouncing the intermediate (bainiyah) phoneme lam (ل) with rakhawah (fricative continuance). These errors are driven by two main Faktors: firstly, the participants' lack of knowledge regarding makhraj and sifat al-huruf; and secondly, linguistic interference from Indonesian due to phonetic disparities between the two languages.
