Divorce is a form of resolving marital disputes that may only be granted when the legal grounds stipulated by law have been fulfilled. This study aims to analyze the legal considerations of the panel of judges in granting a divorce petition and its legal implications in Decision Number 5374/Pdt.G/2025/PA.JT. This research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and case approaches. The findings indicate that the panel of judges granted the divorce petition due to continuous disputes and conflicts, the husband's failure to fulfill his financial support obligations, the defendant's involvement in online loans, and the parties' separation for more than two years. These considerations were based on Article 39 paragraph (2) of the Marriage Law in conjunction with Article 19 letter (f) of Government Regulation Number 9 of 1975 and Article 116 letter (f) of the Compilation of Islamic Law. The decision resulted in the dissolution of the marriage through a talak satu ba'in sughra. Although formally consistent with applicable legal provisions, the decision still raises concerns regarding the quality of evidence, the default judgment procedure (verstek), and the insufficient protection of women's rights and the best interests of children after divorce.
