<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the essay writing skills of sixth-grade students at SD 6 Rantebua, North Toraja, through the application of serial picture media. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were 10 sixth-grade students. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, essay writing tests, and documentation. The results showed that the application of serial picture media could improve students' essay writing skills. This is evidenced by an increase in the classical mastery of student learning outcomes from pre-cycle, cycle I, to cycle II. In cycle I, the average score of students' essay writing skills reached 73 with a mastery percentage of 70%. A significant increase occurred in cycle II, where the students' average score increased to 84 with a mastery percentage reaching 90%, thereby meeting the established success indicators. In addition, student learning activities and teacher performance during the learning process also showed positive improvements. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of serial picture media is effective in improving the essay writing skills of sixth-grade students at SD 6 Rantebua, North Toraja.]]>
