Privacy is an essential aspect of human life as it is closely related to individual dignity, security, comfort, and freedom in social interactions. In the digital era, issues of privacy have become increasingly complex due to the ease of disseminating personal information, the openness of public communication spaces, and the growing potential for violations of personal data, reputation, and private spheres. This study aims to examine the concept of privacy from the perspective of the Prophet's hadith through a thematic hadith approach. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research design. Primary data are derived from hadiths contained in classical hadith collections and digital hadith databases, while secondary data are obtained from relevant books, journals, and scholarly articles. Data analysis is conducted using a grounded theory approach through the stages of open coding, axial coding, selective coding, and the constant comparative method. The findings reveal that the concept of privacy in hadith encompasses four major themes: the protection of individual dignity and privacy, privacy in social interaction and communication, the protection of information and private spaces, and privacy in family relations and social life. The Prophet's hadiths emphasize the prohibition of exposing others' faults, spying, reading or listening to information without permission, disclosing secrets, violating personal space, and revealing household secrets. Therefore, privacy from the perspective of hadith is not merely concerned with physical space but also includes dignity, information, the body, communication, and social relations. These principles remain highly relevant as an ethical foundation for fostering civilized communication and protecting privacy in the modern era.
