This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes through the use of interactive learning media based on simple teaching aids in the topic of the human respiratory system at SDI Wolowona 1. The study was motivated by students’ low understanding of respiratory system concepts due to the dominance of lecture-based teaching methods and the limited use of engaging learning media. To address this issue, simple teaching aids made from easily accessible materials such as plastic bottles, balloons, and straws were utilized to model the human respiratory system. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were students of SDI Wolowona 1. Data were collected through observation, learning achievement tests, and documentation. The findings revealed that the use of interactive media based on simple teaching aids effectively enhanced students’ learning activities, motivation, and achievement. Students became more actively involved in the learning process and demonstrated a better understanding of the respiratory system through direct observation and hands-on practice. Learning outcomes showed consistent improvement from the initial condition to Cycle II. Therefore, the implementation of interactive media using simple teaching aids proved effective in improving students’ understanding and learning outcomes on the human respiratory system topic at SDI Wolowona 1.
