Abstract

Instilling character values in students is a task that must be carried out by teachers at school. Character education is a personality-basic education that can train and familiarize students to grow into human beings who have noble character. This article aims to determine the internalization of character education values in high school students at SMP Negeri 5 Kerinci. This discussion is very interesting because it looks at the current phenomenon of the lack of teenage characters in schools, for example, characters towards themselves that are self-destructive by drinking, smoking, and not taking care of themselves; against others that do not respect teachers or their friends; and towards the environment, such as dumping and mulching garbage in any place. Some of these examples show the lack of character in today's youth. Seeing these facts made the SMP Negeri 5 Kerinci teachers think and try their best to help students internalize the values of character education. This type of research is qualitative and descriptive. The data collected in this study is based on the results of observations made at research locations, interviews, and documentation. It can be seen from this research that internalizing character values in high schools is done by instilling discipline, working together, exchanging information with teachers in other fields of study as well as with the school, and providing special guidance

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of communication and the obstacles faced during the implementation of the online learning process. This study uses a qualitative method. The informant used was one teacher and seven students from a State Elementary School by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that online learning communication during the pandemic is still not effective. This is indicated by the many obstacles faced both from the school and from the students that hinder the communication process such as inadequate facilities, internet quotas, weak networks, and lack of support from students' parents while online learning is implemented.

Abstract

Geometry is the study of the relationship between points, lines, angles, planes and spatial figures. This study aims to explore the concept of elementary school geometry in the traditional house of the Buton people in Baubau City and describe the teacher's view of the results of the exploration. Transformative qualitative research uses multiparadigms, namely postmodern, critical, and interpretive. Data collection techniques used include writing as inquiry, postmodern interviews, and writing critical auto ethnography literature studies. The results showed that there is an elementary school geometry concept in the construction of traditional Butonese houses (including lines and angles, flat shapes, geometric shapes) and the geometric concepts contained in the Butonese traditional houses can be used as an alternative source of ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning (mathematics in local culture), can be used to deepen education and understanding of local culture to students and can be used as a fun source of educational material because it involves concrete and cultural objects found in Indonesia.

Abstract

Mobile Legends is a MOBA (Mutiplayer Online Battle Arena) game played by millions of users around the world. It is this broad scale of gaming that gave birth to the online gaming community. This study aims to find out how the behavior of communication and interaction of online game players Mobile Legends in the virtual world (online) and outside the virtual world (offline). This study uses a qualitative approach with the Ethnomethodology method. The theory used in this study is the theory of Symbolic Interaction and Computer Mediated Communication theory. The subjects of this research are individuals who play the online game Mobile Legends, visitors to Cafe Ambai, Medan City, who have different addictions and playing skills. his. Based on the results of the study it was found that online game users of Mobile Legends tend to only socialize with friends in their virtual world (online) but interactions outside the virtual world (offline) communication behavior in the social environment is very bad. The communication behavior of online game users of Mobile Legends at Ambai Cafe is communication behavior that contains a lot of contemporary or slang and bad or toxic language. the language used by online game users can be said to be one of the most important elements in their daily lives, especially in communicating whether it is done directly or indirectly.

Abstract

The journey has been tortuous and full of challenges since the process of its formation to its present state which has made Civics an interesting study material. Moreover, lately there are a group of people who doubt the existence of PKn. Because of the many deviations and betrayals of Pancasila, human development is hampered as a whole, and some question the success of teaching Civics on the morale of students in particular and the wider community in general. This study aims to determine the increase in Civics learning achievement after implementing contextual learning the Learning Together teaching model. Knowing the influence of Civics learning motivation after applying contextual learning problem-based teaching models. Improving the implementation of Civics learning. This study used three rounds of action research. Each round consists of 4 stages, namely: design, activity and observation, reflection and revision. The target of this study were students of class XII IPS SMA Negeri 2 Sampoiniet Aceh Jaya Regency for the 2022 2023 academic year. The data obtained is in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. From the results of the analysis it was found that student learning achievement increased from cycle I to cycle III, namely, cycle I (67.44%), cycle II (79.01%), cycle III (90.70%). The conclusions from this study are that cooperative learning methods can have a positive effect on achievement and learning motivation of XII IPS students at SMA Negeri 2 Sampoiniet, and this learning model can be used as an alternative to Civics learning.

Abstract

In this study, the authors conduct research based on a collection of several articles, books and journals that discussed changes in the independent curriculum on students' learning styles in MI/SD. In the independent curriculum there were 4 very important changes, namely; curriculum structure is more flexible, focuses on essential material, uses several teaching tools, and utilizes digital technology. From these changes it is certain that this is a process of adjusting the education process to the changing times where currently the technology and digital era has very much taken over the world. Of course this must be related to adjustments to students' learning styles at school, because the period in elementary school is the golden age for children to be able to determine the direction in which they are going in the process of finding their own identity.

Abstract

Children are a gift that cools the eyes and this is a blessing from Allah SWT. Every parent must want a child who is pious, pious and obedient to Allah SWT and parents. Behind the joy of the child, in fact he needs the attention and guidance of parents. Likewise parents, all the best they want to give as a sign of love for the baby, because the baby is priceless. The family is an important factor in the formation of a child's personality. The family is the first and foremost educational forum in the child's life history which is an important basis in the formation of the human character itself. To create a strong character and good spirit in children in the family, it is necessary to create a harmonious and dynamic family atmosphere, this can be created if strong two-way coordination and communication are built between parents and children.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to see how the independent learning curriculum is implemented at SMP Negeri 24 Medan. The data collection is done by observation and literature study. Observations made by the author were to observe the teaching and learning conditions at SMP Negeri 24 Medan related to the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum and the subjects in this study were grade 1 teachers at SMP Negeri 24 Medan. The independent curriculum is a form of innovation as well as an effort to prepare Indonesian education in the face of developments in socialization and modernization. This is because so that the younger generation is able to compete in the digitalization era and look for competent human resources so that the Merdeka Learning curriculum is proclaimed as a curriculum based on the concept of 21st century education and IT-based. The orientation of the Freedom to Learn curriculum is how learning is innovated with interesting things and certainly not spared from technological elements. So that in carrying out learning activities an approach that accommodates the characteristics of 21st century learning is needed. In elementary learning, including at SMP Negeri 24 Medan, where the compulsory subject is mathematics, where the subject is a subject that is categorized as a difficult subject for students. students also include science subjects which contain exact and quantitative elements.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of humans in increasing promotion and image in madrasas, whether it has been going well or whether the role of humans in schools has not gone well. Then to find out what obstacles humans experience and how to overcome these obstacles. This study uses a qualitative method. The informants used were the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madrasa and public relations WKM 3 by means of purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that madrasas had carried out their public relations role well, but there were several obstacles in the madrasa activity program so that public relations had difficulty promoting madrasa activities due to the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic which required schools to be closed and teaching and teaching activities. learning activities are virtualized using the application that has been provided. Even though there are obstacles experienced by humans, they are able to overcome these obstacles by continuing to carry out these activities virtually even though not all annual activities are carried out.

Abstract

School facilities are synonymous with educational facilities and infrastructure. Educational facilities are all equipment, materials and parabots that can directly be used in the educational process in schools and educational infrastructure, namely all basic equipment or equipment that indirectly supports the implementation of the educational process in schools. The purpose of this study was to determine the importance of the completeness of school facilities and the convenience of student learning. Data collection methods in this study are documentation and interviews. To test the validity of the data in this study, researchers used source triangulation. The results of this study are that SD Negeri 008 Samarinda Ulu is an A-accredited high achieving school that has very adequate facilities. In addition, SD Negeri 008 Samarinda Ulu also provides opportunities for students to explore their own potential based on their hobbies and hobbies by using existing facilities at school as a method of supporting teaching and learning activities. Facilities are very important for schools because all school facilities can be used by all school staff from school principals, teachers and students to facilitate the learning process, besides that convenience is also very influential for learning and can increase student learning enthusiasm, in the Covid-19 pandemic situation how learning continues, namely using cellphone media as learning media because facilities and infrastructure play an important role in a school to support all activities and achieve a goal that is achieved, especially in learning, namely to make it easier for students to learn and create a calm and comfortable learning atmosphere.
