The Connecting Building of the Faculty of Law at Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) is a four-story structure that requires an efficiency review regarding its structural strength. This study aims to redesign the building's superstructure in accordance with the latest standard, SNI 2847:2019 (Structural Concrete Requirements). The methodology employed involves three-dimensional modeling using SAP2000 v.14 software to evaluate the performance of structural elements, specifically columns, beams, and tie beams. The analysis results indicate significant potential for optimizing dimensions and reinforcement compared to the existing design. The redesign successfully reduced the dimensions of the main columns from 50 x 80 cm (24 D 22) to 50 x 70 cm (22 D 22), beams from 40 x 85 cm (21 D 19) to 30 x 60 cm (15 D 19), and tie beams from 30 x 50 cm (12 D 19) to 25 x 50 cm (12 D 19). These reductions in dimensions and reinforcement quantities demonstrate that the structure remains safe for carrying design loads in compliance with applicable regulations while achieving higher material efficiency.
