<![CDATA[As the need for learning activities that involve students’ active participation increases, the implementation of collaborative learning has become a relevant approach in elementary school education. The background of this research is the existence of students who are still less active in discussion activities, depend on their peers in completing assignments, and lack confidence in expressing their opinions in Social Studies learning. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation process of collaborative learning and its implications for students’ abilities in Social Studies learning for fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Cigantang. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the research show that collaborative learning is implemented through group formation, cooperation, discussion, task distribution, and presentation of discussion results. The implementation of collaborative learning has positive impacts on students’ cognitive abilities, critical thinking skills, communication skills, active involvement, learning motivation, and learning focus.]]>
