Beground: Use of medicinal plants as traditional medicine is still practiced by community of Mangaaleng Village, Kelubagolit District, East Flores Regency. Knowledge regarding use of these medicinal plants has been passed down through generations and has become an integral part of community's local wisdom. To date, scientific documentation regarding the utilization of medicinal plants by Mangaaleng Village community remains unavailable. Purpose: Identify types of medicinal plants utilized, determine their specific benefits, plant parts used, as well as preparation methods and their usage in traditional medicine by Mangaaleng Village community. Method: This was a qualitative descriptive study employing a purposive sampling technique. Research informants consisted of 2 key informants and 42 triangulation informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentations, which were subsequently analyzed using Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Results: Mangaaleng Village community utilizes 48 species of medicinal plants to treat various diseases and health complaints. Highest utilization is aimed at treating coughs (13%). Most frequently used plant part is leaves (49%). Majority of these medicinal plants are obtained through self-cultivation (73%). Most common preparation method is boiling (45%), while dominant mode of administration is by drinking (67%). Conclusion: Mangaaleng Village community still maintains ethnomedicinal practices based on medicinal plants as part of their traditional medical heritage passed down through generations. Diversity of the utilized plants reflects community's extensive local knowledge in harnessing natural resources for health maintenance and disease treatment.
