GPIB Immanuel Church Jakarta is one of the cultural heritage buildings with significant historical and architectural value in the development of Jakarta. The church not only accommodates worship activities but also functions as a symbolic space that reflects the theological, historical, and cultural values of its period. This article examines the application of Neoclassical design to the interior elements of GPIB Immanuel Church Jakarta as a historic place of worship. The study focuses on how Neoclassical design principles, such as symmetry, proportion, order, and spatial hierarchy, are applied to various interior elements of the church, including spatial organization, structural elements, the altar, materials, lighting, and ornamentation. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach involving a literature review, direct observation, and visual documentation. The findings indicate that the application of Neoclassical design to the church’s interior elements supports liturgical functions and enhances the congregation’s spiritual experience while creating a monumental, orderly, and sacred spatial character. Furthermore, the application of Neoclassical design contributes to preserving the building’s historical values while maintaining its relevance to the functional requirements of contemporary worship.
