<![CDATA[The postpartum period is an important phase after childbirth that requires special attention because mothers experience various physical and psychological changes. During this period, the mother’s ability to perform self-care plays an important role in the recovery process and prevention of postpartum complications. However, some postpartum mothers still have limited knowledge regarding self-care practices, such as reproductive organ hygiene, birth wound care, nutritional fulfillment, and recognition of postpartum danger signs. One effort to improve mothers’ knowledge and abilities is through health education using appropriate educational media. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of postpartum educational media on mothers’ knowledge and self-care independence after childbirth at TPMB Yenita Latief. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of all postpartum mothers receiving services at TPMB Yenita Latief, with samples selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using knowledge and self-care independence questionnaires before and after the intervention using postpartum educational media. Data analysis was conducted through univariate analysis to describe respondent characteristics and variable distributions, as well as bivariate analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test or Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test according to the results of the data normality test. This study is expected to provide scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of educational media in improving postpartum mothers’ knowledge and self-care independence and to serve as input for healthcare providers in developing more effective postpartum education services.]]>
