<![CDATA[The use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has the potential to help teachers develop literacy and numeracy teaching materials effectively; however, limited teacher understanding remains a challenge to its utilization. This community service activity aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of using GenAI to develop literacy and numeracy teaching materials in elementary schools. The activity was conducted at UPTD SD Negeri 8 Belinyu, involving nine teachers through socialization, training, practice, mentoring, and evaluation using a Participatory Action Learning (PAL) approach combined with Project-Based Mentoring. Pretest and posttest results showed an increase in teachers’ average understanding from 63% to 83%, representing a 20-percentage-point increase. These findings indicate that practice-based training and mentoring can strengthen teachers’ understanding of using GenAI pedagogically and responsibly to support the development of literacy and numeracy teaching materials.]]>
