<![CDATA[Indonesian language learning is one of the most important subjects to be taught to elementary school students, aiming to enable them to use the Indonesian language proficiently, as well as to explore their linguistic potential and language experiences. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). It consists of two cycles: Cycle I and Cycle II, which include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study uses fable story media to improve early reading skills. The subjects of the study are all students in Class IA at SDN 2 Tambakrigadung. Data collection techniques used include performance assessment tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded as follows: (1) Teacher activity observation in Cycle I obtained an average of 65.1%, and in Cycle II it increased to 86.6%, showing an improvement of 21.5%. (2) Student activity observation in Cycle I had an average of 62.5%, and in Cycle II it rose to 98.4%, showing an increase of 35.9%. (3) Student learning outcomes in Cycle I averaged 48%, and in Cycle II increased to 76%, indicating a 28% improvement. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of digital-based fable story media in learning activities can improve students’ reading skills, specifically in the reading material for Grade I at SDN 2 Tambakrigadung]]>
