Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of glocalization classes in literature learning, focusing on the analysis of local and glocal literary works by university students. In the context of globalization, glocalization classes integrate literary works from local and global cultures, providing a broader perspective in understanding universal values. This study used a qualitative research method with a case study design, involving students of the S1 Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at Muhammadiyah Lamongan University. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis model. The results showed that students could identify similarities and differences between Timun Mas and Hansel and Gretel literary works, as well as understand the values of courage, ingenuity, and struggle against injustice in both stories. Glocalization learning helps students connect these values to their cultural context and encourages the application of positive values in daily life. This study concludes that glocalization classes are effective in enriching students' understanding of literature and values relevant to life challenges.

Abstract

In primary schools, neuropsychology is used to understand how children learn, interact and cope with academic or social challenges, as well as to identify and support children with learning difficulties or developmental disorders. Inclusive education for children with special needs must receive educational services that are in accordance with their needs and human rights. However, it is not uncommon for schools that claim to provide inclusive education to still discriminate against children with special needs. Therefore, the role of inclusive education, social parenting and humor-based multisensory teaching that has been implemented in Indonesia and Nigeria accommodates the needs of students with various backgrounds, including children with learning difficulties, reading children with special needs dyslexia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an ethnoscience-based e-module to improve students' scientific literacy in Natural and Social Science learning for fifth-grade elementary school students. The background of the study lies in the low level of students' scientific literacy and the limited use of interactive digital learning media. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) for the topic “Sound and Its Properties.” The instruments used included material and design expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, student activity observations, and scientific literacy tests (pretest and posttest). The results showed that the developed e-module had a very high level of validity, with an average score of 3.87 from material experts and 3.70 from design experts. The practicality of the e-module was in the "excellent" category, with student response scores of 4.5 (small group) and 4.6 (large group). Student activity increased from 4.4 to 4.7. The effectiveness test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and an N-Gain of 51.95%, which falls into the moderate category. In conclusion, the ethnoscience-based e-module is effective as an innovative learning medium to improve scientific literacy among elementary school students.
