The development of the metaverse has expanded Generation Z’s social interactions from direct encounters to virtual environments that facilitate communication, identity construction, and social activities through digital avatars. Despite its various opportunities, interaction in the metaverse also raises ethical concerns, including the dissemination of unverified information, cyberbullying, verbal harassment, identity manipulation, privacy violations, and diminished accountability resulting from user anonymity. This study aims to analyse Qur’anic principles that can serve as an ethical foundation for Generation Z’s social interactions in the metaverse. It employs qualitative library research with a descriptive-analytical approach. The primary sources consist of relevant Qur’anic verses and works of Qur’anic exegesis, while the supporting sources include books and scholarly articles addressing digital ethics, Generation Z, and the metaverse. The data are analysed thematically by identifying, classifying, and interpreting the ethical themes found in the selected sources. The findings demonstrate that ethical interaction in the metaverse can be developed through the principles of tabayyun, qaulan sadidan, the prohibition of ridicule and insult, the protection of dignity and privacy, and accountability for digital information and actions. These principles constitute an ethical framework encompassing information integrity, responsible communication, human dignity, privacy protection, and digital accountability. The novelty of this study lies in its comprehensive integration of Qur’anic ethical values into the context of Generation Z’s social interactions in the metaverse
