<![CDATA[The crisis of family harmony in the contemporary era is characterized by weakened communication, a decline in children’s respect for their parents, and a shift in moral values due to social change. Various studies have discussed birr al-walidayn, but few have examined the concept of children’s moral conduct toward their parents from the perspective of M. Quraish Shihab and its relevance to family harmony. This study aims to analyze the concept of children’s moral conduct toward their parents in Surah Al-Isra’, verse 23-24, according to M. Quraish Shihab’s perspective, and to explain its relevance to the crisis of family harmony. The study employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach. Primary sources consist of the works of M. Quraish Shihab, particularly Tafsir Al-Mishbah, while secondary sources include relevant books and scholarly articles. The results indicate that moral conduct toward parents encompasses tauhid as a moral foundation, iḥsān, respect, empathy, and responsibility.
