<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of rice fields utilized as green bean planting areas in Matang Danau Village, Paloh District, Sambas Regency. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method with a spatial approach by integrating remote sensing data, field surveys, and questionnaire analysis. Spatial data were processed to identify land-use patterns and calculate the percentage of green bean cultivation areas in each hamlet. The results indicate that the utilization of rice fields for green bean cultivation is unevenly distributed across the village. Certain hamlets show a high intensity of land use, while others utilize rice fields on a limited scale. Factors influencing this spatial variation include soil fertility, water availability, cropping patterns, economic considerations, and farmers’ technical capacities. The study concludes that Matang Danau Village has significant potential for developing green bean cultivation through a rice–green bean rotation system. However, improved land management strategies and equitable planning are required to optimize land use sustainably. These findings contribute to spatial agricultural studies and provide practical input for local governments and communities in promoting sustainable land-use planning.]]>
