<![CDATA[Objective: This study aims to describe the meaning of emotions in adolescent friendship relationships and explain their implications for the implementation of group counseling services at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. Methods: This research employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The participants consisted of four students and one Guidance and Counseling teacher selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, categorization, theme identification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The trustworthiness of the findings was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation. Results: The findings indicate that adolescents experience various emotions in friendship relationships, including happiness, comfort, appreciation, jealousy, disappointment, sadness, anger, and annoyance. Positive emotions strengthen trust, closeness, communication, and mutual support, whereas negative emotions emerge because of misunderstandings, reduced communication, and changes in friendship dynamics. These emotional experiences shape adolescents' understanding of friendship and influence the quality of interpersonal relationships. Novelty: This study provides a phenomenological understanding of adolescents' emotional meanings in friendship relationships and demonstrates how these findings can serve as a basis for developing group counseling services that are more responsive to students' emotional needs.]]>
