This study aims to analyze transformational leadership practices within Islamic educational management in the digital era by identifying leadership characteristics, implementation across management functions, challenges faced, and implications for enhancing the quality of Islamic education. A qualitative approach utilizing the library research method was employed. Data were gathered from relevant scholarly articles, books, and academic documents published between 2021 and 2025. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that transformational leadership plays a pivotal role in supporting the transformation of Islamic educational management by strengthening the vision for change, empowering human resources, fostering a culture of innovation, and leveraging digital technology across planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision functions. However, implementation faces challenges such as limited digital literacy, uneven technological infrastructure, and the need to integrate digital transformation with Islamic values. The study’s novelty lies in its synthesis of literature integrating transformational leadership concepts, Islamic educational management functions, and digital transformation into a comprehensive analytical framework, thereby offering a conceptual perspective on leadership strategies that are adaptive, innovative, and grounded in Islamic values.
