<![CDATA[This study aims to measure and describe the level of biographical text comprehension among Grade X students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. It is a quantitative study employing a descriptive method. The population consists of all 400 Grade X students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang for the 2025/2026 academic year. A sample of 80 students was selected using proportional random sampling. Data collection was conducted through a biographical text comprehension test, specifically an objective multiple-choice test. Data analysis involved scoring, converting scores into numerical values, calculating the mean using a percentage formula, classifying the values on a 10-point scale, creating a diagram of comprehension levels, performing prerequisite analysis tests, and describing the highest and lowest levels of comprehension. The results indicate that the comprehension level of Grade X students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang falls within the 76–85 range on a 10-point scale, with a mean score of 79.69. Based on these findings, it is concluded that the students' comprehension of biographical texts is classified as "good."]]>
