Objective: This study aims to identify upper secondary school students' needs for an e-worksheet based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) and a Deep Learning approach to train creative thinking skills in parabolic motion. Methods: This quantitative descriptive study served as a preliminary study stage in research and development, involving 1 physics teacher and 35 tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Kota Padang Panjang. Data were collected through interviews, student readiness questionnaires, and creative thinking tests, then analyzed using percentage descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis. Results: Test results indicated low creative thinking ability (32.5%), with the flexibility indicator being the lowest (20%). Learning remained dominated by conventional worksheets and faced constraints in laboratory facilities and time efficiency, despite students' high digital readiness (75%). Novelty: The novelty lies in formulating e-worksheet needs that contextually integrate PjBL, Deep Learning, and virtual simulations to address students' flexibility gaps in parabolic motion based on empirical analysis.
