The success of attacks in volleyball is strongly influenced by the quality of the smash produced by players. This experimental study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a plyometric training method in enhancing smash performance among volleyball athletes in the extracurricular program at SMAN 1 Cikatomas. The study employed a one-group pretest-posttest design. The entire population, consisting of 28 athletes, was selected as the sample using a total sampling technique. Evaluation data were collected using a standardized smash skill test prior to and after a 16-session intervention program. Descriptive statistical results revealed an increase in the mean score from 101.25 in the pretest to 109.12 in the posttest. Prerequisite testing confirmed that the data were normally distributed according to the Lilliefors test and exhibited variance homogeneity based on the F-test. Hypothesis testing via a one-tailed paired t-test yielded a calculated t-value of 15, which was significantly higher than the critical t-value of 1.706 at a 0.05 significance level. These findings conclude that structured plyometric training contributes significantly to improving the smash performance of volleyball athletes.
