<![CDATA[Reading interest is one of the important factors that affects the learning success of elementary school students, but low reading interest is still a problem because learning tends to focus on textbooks that are not very engaging. This study aims to find out the effect of educational comic media on the reading interest of fifth-grade elementary school students. The research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, conducted at SDN Ciledug 01 in Bekasi Regency in the even semester of the 2025/2026 school year. The sample consisted of 88 students, with 45 students in the experimental class and 43 in the control class, determined through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a reading interest questionnaire before and after treatment, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain tests with the help of SPSS Statistics 31. The research results show that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. An independent sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, so H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. The average N-Gain for the experimental class was 45.95% (medium category), higher than the control class at 34.23%. It can be concluded that using educational comic media has a significant effect on the reading interest of fifth-grade elementary school students and can be considered as an alternative learning medium to support literacy culture in elementary schools.]]>
