<![CDATA[Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting economic activity and increasing community income. However, MSME performance continues to face various challenges, particularly related to education, financial literacy, and human resource (HR) competence. This study aims to analyze the effect of education and financial literacy on MSME performance, both directly and indirectly through HR competence as a mediating variable. This study employed a quantitative approach using explanatory research. The population consisted of MSME owners and managers in Idi Rayeuk District, with a sample of 30 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The results show that education has a positive and significant effect on MSME performance, with a path coefficient of 0.183 (p=0.015), while financial literacy has a positive and significant effect with a path coefficient of 0.271 (p<0.001). Education and financial literacy also have significant effects on HR competence, with path coefficients of 0.319 and 0.493, respectively. Furthermore, HR competence has a positive and significant effect on MSME performance, with a path coefficient of 0.458 (p<0.001). HR competence mediates the effect of education on MSME performance with an indirect effect of 0.146 (p=0.001) and mediates the effect of financial literacy on MSME performance with an indirect effect of 0.226 (p<0.001).
