Modern education currently suffers from acute dehumanization, often reducing learning to mere cognitive achievements and mechanical paradigms. To address this spiritual and affective deficit in Islamic schooling, the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs introduced the Love-Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta/KBC). This qualitative library research examines the philosophical relevance of Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi’s concept of Insan Kamil (the Perfect Human) to the foundational principles of KBC. Utilizing a conceptual-philosophical approach, the study analyzes primary sources, including Fusus al-Hikam, Al-Futuhat al-Makkiyya, and the 2025 KBC policy document. The findings demonstrate a strong epistemological alignment between KBC and Ibn Arabi’s core doctrines, particularly tajalli (divine manifestation), wahdat al-wujud (unity of being), and hubb (cosmic love). Ultimately, KBC serves as a modern actualization of Sufi education within contemporary madrasahs, functioning as a transformative medium (tazkiyatun nafs) to restore human nature as a microcosm reflecting Divine attributes.
