<![CDATA[Basic needs are elements required to maintain physiological and psychological balance. In older adults, physical, psychological, and social changes may increase dependence in daily activities, making family support important. This study aimed to determine the relationship between family role and fulfillment of basic needs among older adults in the working area of Langsa Baro Community Health Center. An analytic cross-sectional design was used. The population consisted of 269 older adults and 73 respondents were selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires measuring family role and fulfillment of basic needs. Univariate and bivariate analyses were conducted using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the largest proportion of respondents received good family support, 27 respondents (37%), while basic needs were fulfilled in 38 respondents (52.1%). The Chi-Square test yielded p=0.000 (p<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between family role and fulfillment of basic needs.
