The go-kart frame is subjected to static and dynamic loads, making welded-joint quality a critical factor in structural strength. This study aims to analyze the tensile and bending strength of SMAW welded joints on AISI 1045 steel with current variations of 70 A, 90 A, and 110 A (three specimens for each current variation) using E7018 electrodes through tensile testing (ASTM E8), bending testing (ASTM E190), and metallographic analysis on the base metal, weld metal, and Heat Affected Zone (HAZ). The results show that at 70 A, the tensile strength is 431.64 MPa and the bending strength is 677.66 MPa; at 90 A, they increase to 614.76 MPa and 1103.88 MPa, the highest values; and at 110 A, they slightly decrease to 601.68 MPa and 1084.21 MPa due to excessive heat input. Therefore, 90 A is the optimal parameter as it provides the best combination of strength and ductility.
