A heat sink is an electronic cooling component desained to maintain stable operating temperatures and minimize component damage caused by electrical stress. A key challenge lies in manufacturing heat sinks with complex geometries and high-quality base materials without compromising cost or production time. 3D printing is an emerging technology that enables the rapid, detailed, and convenient fabrication of products. Using the FDM 3D printing method, complex heat sink desains can be produced cost-effectively; furthermore, electroplating with copper and nickel can be applied to the printed parts to enhance thermal performance. Testing over a 16-minute period demonstrated that the heat sink performs comparably to conventional models, reaching a maximum temperature of 37.48°C.
